Watercolors, paint splats
I have a project where I need to simulate watercolors bleeding and swirling, and paint splatting and settling.. Similar to the backgrounds and ground plane in the Paul McCartny ipod spot:

How can I do this with PI? I will composite with combustion..

There are some paint splatter emitters in the Pro Emitter Libraries, but you can probably get a splatter look by using almost any explosion or burst emitter with the “don’t erase” option.
A smoke puff will create the look you want when “don’t erase” is used.

There is also “Paintfight” in one of the libraries. It plats then slides downwards.
