Hello from a new (and very happy) PI3 user!

I’m looking to create a project to simulate the wake of a boat in water, as an animated texture on an alpha plane behind a boat model – using Vue 5 Infinite (supports bump but not displacement mapping).

I have already created a nice bow-wake splash effect with various Water_01 library Emitters & a Boat-Shaped Deflector, however I am now wondering how to go about creating the Boat Stern – Ripple Water Wake effect.

Do you have any suggestions on how I might achieve this please?

    Kind regards

P.S. To anyone considering purchasing Elvis and Aharon’s DVDs – they are VERY highly recommended! >8o)

I would create 2 emitters on the same spot and have them shoot out particles behind them, eac h with an emission angle diagonally out from the back. This way you get a V shape as particles are emitted. Just use a lot of circle shaped particles that are all the same color and not intense so that they look like they are part of the same thing, and not several different particles.

Thanks Aharon – that sounds like a good place to start!
