I created a globe that kind that shows the world that people have in homes. I wanted to replace the water texture with a texture that ripples like it is real water.

I have Version 10 but I don;t know where to start.

Create a layered shader in the bump channel. Use any type of Noise you deem suitable and on the second layer use an image texture with your continents as a layer mask.

When you say layer do you mean create a second object under the first object? Or is it something that happens in the texture itself?

In the material manager. Select a “Layer” shader and then put the other shaders inside it.
