    Watchout + Black Magic Designs

    Howdy,

    I was wondering if anyone has looked into using a Black Magic Designs Decklink Device with a Watchout PC. (Such as the BMD Decklink HD Extreme)

    This would help me with several issues:
    Older video cards in several of our display computers
    Lossy input video from Analog video input cards
    VGA – RGBH/V conversion to ‘Video formats’ such as SD/HD SDI, YPbPr

    My questions are thus:
    Can the BMD card be utilized as an output device for Watchout, using SD/HD-SDI, along with an simultaneous Analog XLR Audio output, and a simultaneous SD/HD-SDI input for “live cues” inside of Watchout?

    Obviously this is a capital investment, which is why I wanted to see if it has been attempted before.

    You would get more replies to your questions at the Watchout Showroom forum. Quite a few Decklink users there, not sure of model though.
