Watch it… 10.7.4 update…

Early test is showing that after the update FCP X did not like a SUB FOLDER inside the PROJECTS folder.

With the projects REMOVED from the SUBFOLDER, the beach ball hang does not repeat itself.

Interesting. Glad you figured it out. I recently cut a project with subfolders and did not have that same issue. How many subfolders did you have? Mine went two levels down.

Since 10.7.4, if you use FCPX to make a folder and, then quit and reopen, does FCPX hang?

Sorry for all the silly questions. I’m thinking about applying the upgrade, to a clone at least.

Have not tried that, it seems that it’s a carryover from existing folders.

Did you check the permissions of those folders?

I will do that but I wonder how the upgrade of the os would affect the permissions on the folder.
