Wasting time leveling camera. Answer: Bowl head?
I sometimes shoot the full body of my model, sometimes the head and shoulders, sometimes I shoot the lower body. So I have to raise the camera up and down, but each time I do this I have to adjust each of the three legs repeatedly to get a good level. I’m wasting far too much time adjusting these legs. Today I learned about bowl heads tripods. Bowl head tripods appear to be a thousand dollars more and heavier than the flat head tripods. But I did find one bowl head tripod that isn’t too heavy
Question: The bowl head seems to be advantageous in every way. Why would anyone buy a flat head?

I use a flat head for stills because it’s pretty easy to shoot really wide and edit the pix, but I have always used a proper bowl-type tripod, saves an immense amount of time and aggravation as you are aware. You’ll need a decent fluid head to go along with those tripod legs. Spend the money, you’ll be happier.
