    Hi all,

So, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m an AE newbie, but this Warp Stabilizer seems like it’s supposed to be fairly straightforward even for a beginner. Yet I have tried it with multiple times with different pan shots, and seem to be running into some problems.

The footage does get much smoother, but two or three times during the pan the shot will jerk like it hit a sharp bump. At first I thought it was just some remaining shake from the original footage, but after watching the original clip again it appears that AE is adding this jerkiness in on its own.

In any case, I’ve played around with the different values of the effect and nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong? Does the Warp Stabilizer not work on pan shots? Or is my footage in the wrong codec or something? (I exported it as a .mov from Final Cut Express).

    Thanks,

    Matt
