Warning about FCPX 10.0.4
Since I’ve updated to this new version, all the clips I work on end up being corrupt.
I have narrowed it down, after some hours of tests, to this:
If I use “Paste Effects” (opt+cmd+V or selected through the menu) the project gets corrupted.
If I go clip by clip updating the changes I want to apply, the projects remains OK.I am using:
iMac i7 3.4GHz 16Gb
LaCie 2big 4Tb Thunderbolt
Event Manager XJust wondering if anybody else is suffering the same issue. Hope I can save him/her from more headaches!!

One more thing:
In the new tests today I found out that the “Paste Effects” doesn’t corrupt the project if I apply it over just one clip instead of a larger selection. In the moment I apply the “Paste Effects” to two or more, the program keeps running and everything looks OK, but when you reload the project, CRASH.
I don’t know, fellas, maybe the simple explanation to this is that I am getting nuts…

I honestly think that the 10.04 update is OK, it just gave me a major problem with this one project.
If I had to do it again, I would have just updated one machine tested everything and then done the other.
I’m slowly finding a way out of this mess, but it’s been a learning experience.

Save everything off somewhere before you update and it should be OK.
PS: thanks for the kind words about the film, it was fun to make.

just updated as well and we are finding that all of the updated computers no longer have a timecode reader available. Anyone else see this? I already left a message with Apple..
