hey hows it going! look i was wondering if anybody knew a really good plug in or had any good presets on how to make you footage have a warm look to it such as the way CSI: Miami has a warm tropical theme going, The Ring has a bluish whitish scaryu theme to it and a green one like in the matrix!!! i need all three of them so if anybody know some god plugins of actually has presets i’d love to see them! thanks alot!

Just add Curves and a hue/sat to your video. For the matrix look, drop the master saturation in hue/sat. Then in Curves, Make an S shape in the RGB channel. Then in the Red and blue channels, drop the mids a little.

For a warm look. Just drop the mids in the Blue channel. This is all over-simplification and needs more tweaks, but it will get you in the ballpark.

Use the toner effect on an adjustement layer and set the adjustement to a mode that give the loook that you are looking for…I also suggest some gaussian blur on the adjustement layer applied before the toner effect. Blue on the toner gives a cooler look, orang-red gives a warmer look, magenta gives a 70s look etc.

To control the effect use a combination of opacity, amount of blur and amount of toner….You can get really cool looks. Add a second adjustement layer above the stack with a levels and or hue-sat filter to control the levels (keep everything legal).
