Want to use matte shape to make widescreen instead of widescreen filter. Can’t find invert button.
I’ve done this a bunch of times, but not in a little while. for some reason i can’t find the inverse check box for my matte shape. Can you help please? Thanks in advance.

So you’ve chosen Effects-Video filters- Matte-Mask Shape-Rectangle. Just size it like you would in the filter tab you can find INVERT, it’s right there under the horizontal and vertical sliders, then there’s center, then INVERT. If that’s not what you’re talking about let me know and I’ll see if I can still help.

Or, you can apply cropping on the top and bottom of the clip. You’ll then be able to see it in real-time.
