Want to strip audio from video clip
I’m using Vegas Pro v. 9.0e.
I mostly work with still photos. I have placed a small video clip as an event into a project. Vegas put the video on a video track, and the audio from the clip on an audio track. The two are linked, so if I delete the audio track, the video component is also deleted. I presume this is standard, normal behavior.
I am also using VirtualDub to do some editing of video clips before bringing into Vegas.
I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of the audio component of the video clip. I don’t want to just mute the audio segment in Vegas, for reasons I don’t need to go into here. I want to actually strip the audio from the clip (or disassociate the audio from the video), so that the video clip exists in Vegas just as a video track event.
My guess is that there is a simple solution, but I am not a very sophisticated user, and have not been able to figure this out.
Thank you.
