Want to show tons of pictures in a short amount of time!
Hey guys, I read this forum a lot but decided to register and ask a question finally!
I recently went on Spring Break and have over a thousand photos. I am trying to display as many of these pictures as possible, in under a few minutes..
(However I want to be able to see what’s going on in the picture.. not just get strobe lighted with a million pics in a second)
I am putting this over a very fast techno song and want the video to be very dark, and have a new picture display everyime the bass hits with a sharp, fast, black screen hitting between pictures…
–in short, i want to string together hundreds of photos and have a black screen hit between photos… How can I do this quicker than adding a black screen manually every time.

The use of Excalibur would be very helpfull (timesaving) in yhis case

add all pics to single track in one go.
select all pics
run simple script you can google: Add2SecondGap.js and edit in notepad if you want different duration of gap.
Also, make sure Ripple Edit is OFF when you run the script.

Unfortunately I don’t have any money to add Excalibur, I spent all I had on Sony Vegas Platinum 9.0
And as for the add2secondgap.js I can not find that on google anywhere.. I am sorry for being difficult, just new to this process, any other ideas?!

Vegas Platinum 9 doesn’t use scripts, so any script-based solution will not work. Another option would be the use of particleIllusion, but that program is also not free. So I can only think of handwork: Fill the lower track with a black solid from the generated media and add your pictures one by one by hand, leaving a gap between 2 pictures. The good thing is that you can make the length of the pictures precisly the length you want by indicating this in the preferences before starting to add them to the timeline.

With VMSP, you cannot use a script.
your best bet is to change the length of pix in your Options/Editing tab, and then drag your pix in at the described length, ie’ 7-10 frames.Douglas Spotted Eagle
