grazie”That’s one way to do it. I export a Reference Movie from FCP and then bring that into Compressor. I don’t use the “Send to Compressor” command as I feel that’s a slower way to compress with FCP running in the background.

Antonio”So how exactly did you create this, hopefully not with QuickTime conversion which results in re-compression.
IMHO direct from FCP can produce what you are seeing, which is really a gamma change.
Be sure to try export>QuickTime movie, and feed that to compressor.

My first attempt was to export from FCP a HDV timeline to compressor and the result was gr8 in regards definition, as stated b4 the light on the dvd was doubled to say the least….. I`m sure that I`ll try also yor suggestion.

First of all, it’s Bob Hudson that discussed this the most. Remember him?
Try a new search and stop trying to turn my comments into “criticism” for the sake of argument.
