I just bought a Wacom Tablet, and after installing the software and using the board sucessfully my AVID would not boot up the next morning. so I had to do quiet a complex job to remove the software. Basically I had to remove all the AVID boards before the computer would boot again. Then I removed the software. My AVID is up and running like before but I would like to use this new drawing tablet.

Anyone know of any issues between the Wacom Tablet Inuos 3 and AVID MC1000 v 12? How can these be run together without causing AVID headaches?

I’m running Meridian III boards on a Mac G4 1.25 ghz and OS 12.2.6

    Thanks

I can’t comment on the Mac, but I am running a Wacom tablet with Xpress Pro 4.6 on Windows XP and they work great together.

    Ed,

I hate to offer such a general comment. But yes, I have heard of problems with wacom tablets and Mac Avids. Perhaps some posts and problems in the 12 to 18 month back time frame.

In old days we used one on our ABVB Mac Avid on a PM 9600. Recently we have used them on our XpressPro and Adrenaline PC.

Not a lot of info. But a vague confirmation something may be afoot.

I’ve used a wacom with a mac based symphony, no problems.

I use a Wacom with Xpress Pro HD Studio Complete 5.1.3 on XP with no problems. When I upgraded from Xpress Pro 4.1.1 to Studio I did notice some issues with the Wacom. Just reinstalled the latest drivers from the Wacom website and all is great again.

Can’t imagine editing without the Wacom now. I suggest you keep trying to make this work.
