    Hi,

I know this is OT, but am not getting any help at the OSX forums – perhaps some-one here can help me.

    I’m Running 10.4.10 on a G5 Dual 2.0 Power PC
    I’m also running Quicktime 7.2

Here’s my problem – I recently bought a MacBook Pro and did a data-transfer as soon as I got it so that my MBP had all the same programs/documents as my G5.

It seems that since I did that, I keep on losing my FlashPlayer plug-in for YouTube, etc -and every day I have to re-install the Flashplayer on both machines.

Now,I’m not sure if it’s from the data transfer, or because of the QT 7.2 upgrade but this is getting ridiculous.

Can anyone please help me here – why do I lose the Flashplayer, and how can I get it stay after I re-install.

Are there special settings in QT that I should be aware of?
I have the ‘Enable Kiosk Mode’ and ‘Enable Flash’ boxes CHECKED.

(Btw- I also have the correct Flash downloaded for each machine ie, PowerPC version for the G5, and Intel version for the MBP)

    Any leads would help greatly.

    Thanks in advance,

    Wayne

    Hi Wayne,
Go to the QT player prefferences>Advanced>Mime Settings>Miscellaneous-Miscellaneous file formats. Check “Flash media”. I think is that.
    Cheers,

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply – it was checked, but there were some other options that weren’t checked, so now I’ve checked everything.

Will let you know if that helps.

    Thanks and all the bes,t

    Wayne
