I got a warning of a dead drive this evening. So I did what I would usually do; pull the drive, put a new drive in the tray, and then reinsert it. But this time no love. Doesn’t see the drive at all. Doesn’t even spin the drive up. Try a different drive, and same thing. Pull a drive from a different slot and put new drive in there and it is fine with that. Put the known good drive into the suspect slot and no action.

    So how bad is this?

It’s out of warranty, by a couple of years. If I can get into the enclosure there isn’t a breaker or fuse or some crazy thing per slot I can reset physically is there? It’s just like the slot all of a sudden has no power to it.

    Any advice?

    Thank you for your assistance.
