I’m posting this question again hoping that maybe it was just overlooked before. I hope someone will respond: I have been looking for NewTek VT4 type transitions. I spoke with Apple and they recommended CGM-Online. I have all their plug-ins, I have Boris Red and Continum Complete, but none of them have the kinds of transitions that NewTek does. So, the question is are there any third party transitions available or is it possible to modify the ones in NewTek’s library for FCP. By the way, I have FCP 4.5 HD and 5 Thanks

pluginz.com & toolfarm.com both sell lots of plug in sets for FCP. Perhaps they’ll have something more to your liking. But without knowing which transitions your looking for in particular, it’s hard for anybody can help you with specific information. And Newtek’s web site just says that there are “500 real time transitions”, not very helpful.

Do you mean what the Newtek Video Toaster team used to call “organic wipes” with sheep, clouds, spilling paint, and a semi-nude Kiki V. shown in silhouettes?

Pixelan makes wipe plug-ins. I have used them and they have a large selection. Here is the page that describes transitions they have for FCP. You can even download a trail version.

Sorry for the delay; I was in a place that didn’t have Internet access. You are quite right. I was too vague. I have Pixelan. What I am looking for are the 3D type effects. And the Lens flare transitions. I hope this adds a bit more specificity. In the meantime, I am going to the sites suggested. Thanks
