VR Video export flat
Hi,
I have a timeline of equirectangular video cut together. The new controls to view the timeline are excellent.
Here’s the question though……
I want to export the video flat so someone can view it for ref. not in 360. Is there a way to do that easily?
I basically want to export what I’m seeing when I set the program monitor to VR mode.
Another option would be to export just the front camera? Anyway to do that?Mike

Hi Michael,
While there’s not really a designed workflow here you may be able to get the results you want or at least closer by doing the following.
1. Import your VR media
2. Create a custom sequence that is smaller (much smaller) than the actual size of your source video
3. Place the VR clip into the sequence. Be sure to keep the current sequence settings if prompted.
4. Use the Motion controls in the effects panel to scale and position your clip so that it gives you the perspective you want. You can even use keyframes.
5. Export videoThis allows you to do a kind pan and scan workflow. Again, this is not a great solution and the quality may be questionable but you can play around with the settings and may get a decent look.
