June 2, 2009 at 12:16 pmHallo,
Does anyone know about how to implement a code for ‘VPL’? I’ve never come across it before but have been given one for a music video we’re making so it can be tracked. Is it anything to do with Final Cut?
Thanks
Nico

It’s an ISRC code that I’ve been given. Can I embed this into my output from Final Cut? I can’t seem to find any concrete information on this on the web…and the various companies I’ve spoken to aren’t very helpful…
THanks,
Nico

By any chance were you able to figure out the VPL question? I have a similar predicament.
Thanks,

September 3, 2012 at 4:51 amCan you elaborate on this? Where do I include that info in FCP?

September 3, 2012 at 8:10 amIn my case I was given dodgy info by the client initially. They thought it was a code that literally got embedded into the video in all it’s formats (even web). But actually it was purely for broadcast. The irsc code lets re it’s companies keep track of video royalties or something.
So, you just put the code (provided by the record company) onto the clock at the start of your broadcast play out. Google broadcast clock or lineup for more info…
