  VP12 – Ram preview option not available.

  I have a 32GB VP12, win 7 system. In Vegas 12 (64 bit), despite the system telling me I have over 20GB of ram available, the ‘build dynamic ram preview’ menu option is grayed out – I cannot render to RAM preview. As you can imagine it makes things like the BCC motion tracker impossible to use.

  VP10 (32 bit) on the same machine lets me preview to RAM fine. The clip is a simpel 2 minuted DV clip I am using to try out twixtor and some BCC 8 effects – nothing heavy at all on the timeline – 1 video track. I remove all efefcts from the clip and still the same.

  Would anybody have any suggestion on how to fix this. I have tried disabling GPU. I have tried setting various amounts of RAM available in the preference – from 1GB up to 16GB…
