Volumetrix plugin for FCP & Motion released

Well, you might know that I’ve been busy working away on my templates site, but today I’m proud to announce this:-
What is it? Well, its a very quick way to get a volumetric light spill through and across text or any image that has an alpha channel. Imagine somebody shining a torch through cut out letters in a smokey dark room. There is a 15 day free trial of the plugin, so you’ve got plenty of time to try the thing out on a job and maybe even charge a client for it. As you might have read from prevous posts, I’ve been singing the praises of FxPlug for a few months now and the speed at which this plugin renders has to be seen to be believed. No more excuses for “The graphics card doesn’t really play a part with FCP” posts anymore – it really does matter, today!
Just to give you an example and qualify the speed, I’ve made the effect in a few programs using blurs, masks & layers etc – this is what I got:-
shake 10 minutes to render
Motion 1fps max and 20 minutes to render (yawn)
Motion & Volumetrix – runs in real time on my MBP in SD and renders in seconds.truly amazing -take it for a spin!
