Hey! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Essentially what I have is a scene with trees and a grassy field, lit by the sun. As you may know, a light set to infinite cannot generate volumetrics/visible light! so, what i have is some parallel spots that are producing volumetrics. Is it possible to tell these lights to ONLY produce volumetrics, and not shine any light– so that the sun can do all of the ‘lighting’ work, and the spots ONLY create volumetrics/visible light?

    Thanks!!

    Aha! Thanks so much!

Do you happen to know if I can have the volumetric come out in a different pass, and not applied to the c4d composited image? the volumetrics MURDER the alpha, and I’d really like to be able to choose how much they are applied without re-compositing every pass afterward.
