This 9to5 Mac article on how Apple will be handling volume licenses for Lion might be an indication how they’ll handle the same situation with FCPX and facilities.

It would seem to be a code that results in download once and install many. An installer is downloaded and not installed so you have an installer you can use on multiple systems.

I guess one would buy x number of seats of X, get a code, download the installer once, copy and install. I wonder about going over the install limit though.

Getting such a code might be the route VARs get as well.

Note that Updates are handled through Software Update and no Apple ID code need be entered.

Is this how the new FCPX, Motion 5 & Compressor 4 are licensed as well? Can they be installed on multiple systems and run simultaneously? Would really love to get an answer to this…

    Thanks guys!
