Volume Builder Calculation stuck at 50%…
I have a project file that I cannot open because it says “Volume Building Calculating…50%” and it never rises higher than that. Worse, I can’t even Force Quit Cinema 4D.
Anyone have any tips for how to get into the project file and turn off the volume meshes I created? I am literally losing an entire day of work here because I cannot open any of the files with this feature in them…

It sounds like you are trying to open a newer version of C4D’s project in an older version of C4D. Do you know the project’s history? Have you let the project determine what app to use by just double clicking the project file? Try opening it from within C4d with the open dialogue.
I’ve got a few legacy versions hanging around and every once in a while, double clicking will pick the wrong one. -
I created the file last week in R20 and am opening it in R20, so it is not an old file.
