    Oh and before people say…”what about trying Adobe Audition to check your settings”…done that and it all works fine…so what is the drill with Premier Pro??

    OK. At the risk of answering my own question…(why do I always end up doing this??)…it seems that in PP you need to make sure that there is no ‘in’ and ‘out’ edit points marked on the time line and that no clips on the time line have been high-lighted either.

    I also found out that setting the delay to 256mbps woks fine with mys set up.

    have to say ot would be nice for this tool to function more as it does in FCP with the pips and a timed audio input point…but at least it is now working!
