    Hi All,

I am currently doing voice recordings for a corporate video production but am find as I read the scrip my voice comes in strong & then levels out. Is there a way in Vegas to level my whole audio voice recoding?

You can do some levelling visually or aurally with a volume envelope, but it sounds as if the way you’re recording may be the cause – are you using some sort of auto gain? You need to set an appropriate level and keep this constant.
(Unless of course you’re starting to read at a louder level then dropping your voice!)

Compression may help, or you could just split after the “loud” part and apply Switches > Normalize to the remainder. If that makes the rest too loud, drag down the top of the audio event to reduce gain – a visual comparison with the initial section should enable you to make both sides of the split equal.
