    Hi all,

I’m in the finishing stages of a project and doing lots of last minute re-writing/re-recording of scratch VO.

However, I’ve found that while the Voice Over works fine when I first start Final Cut, shortly thereafter it stops recognizing the audio input. (I still see audio levels coming through in the System Preferences/Sound tool, so I know it’s not a hardware/OS level problem.)

Anyone seen this? Have any suggestions for a fix? Right now my workaround is to re-start every time I need to re-record VO … needless to say a bit of a pain on a tight deadline …

    (FCP 6.0.1, Mac Pro 2×2.66 Dual-Core, 4 GB RAM, OS 10.4.10)

You’re not wrong. The VO Tool is not the most robust bit of Apple
