Voice Over Tool PAIN!!
This should be simple right? We’ve been trying to get this tool to work and it never has. Here is the set up.
Running Final Cut Pro HD with a DeckLink Extreme card. The sound board is plugged directly into the XLR ins of the DeckLink card. I’m getting levels from the microphone on the sound board, but no levels on the computer itself. The audio inputs are set to the DeckLink setting inside of Final Cut as well as in the System Preferrences. The video settings for the DeckLink have been changed from Digital SDI to Analog. Still, no levels on the Mac.
We’ve evem bypassed the mixer all together and go directlt into the Decklink card and still nothing. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks, and have fun at NAB if you’re going – I gotta miss this year unfortunately!

Does the decklink card have video hooked up to the analog video input? Even if you’re just grabbing audio, most cards (DV included) require sync to operate.
