Don’t know if this is a FCP problem or one related to Multibridge Extreme, but I cannot get audio via the Voice Over tool. Source and input are set to “Decklink Audio”. Decklink Audio is set in input and output of system preferences.

Right now I’m using the Log & Capture window to get the audio.

Anyone else having issues with this? If not, probably a Blackmagic issue.

It is best to run this thru a Mixer, then to the card. The audio needs to be boosted A LOT for the Audio Tool to recognize it.

Yes, that’s how I’m doing it.

Apparently, it is a problem exclusive to the Blackmagic Multibridge.

I’m having the exact same problem after switching from a Blackmagic SD card to a Blackmagic Decklink HD pro card. Voice Over Tool used to work fine with the SD card.
    Have you found a fix?

    Thanks

Yeah, I’ve gotten it to work. It is a ridiculous, though, and I’m a little annoyed that they haven’t bothered to get with Apple and fix it. Of course, I’m finding out if you don’t have a deck attached, there’s a distinct possibility that the VO tool will not work at all. Anyway, this is what I got from blackmagic. Good luck with it.

In order to get VO Tool in Final Cut Pro HD to work, these are the steps to follow (I think No. 3 is what you might have missed out):

    1) Video Input in Blackmagic DeckLink preferences is set to match the audio input type. For example, if you’re recording via the XLR connectors of your card, then then ‘Inputs’ under ‘DeckLink Video Connections’ must set to analog. It doesn’t matter if it’s component or composite analog video.

    2) In the View menu of Final Cut Pro HD, set External Video to
