VO Problems
I assume this is an IOla problem. Using the IOla through a dual 2.7 Ghz G5 with 5.5 GB RAM and OS 10.4.1 with FCP 5.1.4.
I have the XLR feed from our audio booth going into a 14 channel Mackie, then into the IO.
Periodically through the VO sessions popping will occur, and sometimes when listening back the VO will skip a word or two, as if it momentarily stopped recording and picked up again a second or two later.
At first we thought it might be the XLR cable from the VO booth touching power cables on its run to the Mackie. Moving them helped a little, but the problem persists!
Needless to say, this makes VO sessions difficult and embarrassing.
Any ideas of what might be causing this?Thanks,
