Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro vo audio

My apologies if this has been covered time and time again…

I can’t seem to record VO audio to my Premier Pro CS3 system. I’ve followed the book on how to do it but I get nothing. It was a breeze on my old discreet edit system. What kind of configuration do I need in order to do this? I wasn’t able to capture in Audition and when I upgraded to CS3, I can’t seem to capture in Soundbooth either.

Just curious how others out there are set up.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I will bet you cant record audio in ANY application including Windows Sound Recorder…get that to work and other apps will work.
Go to Control Panel>Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices.
Choose the Audio tab, click the Volume Button for Sound Recording. This brings up the Recording Control, make sure Mic Volume is not muted or missing.
If Mic Volume is missing, choose Options>Properties and check Mic Volume.
