    I hope I am in the correct forum!

    I will be getting a DVD of a deposition in a day or two (not copyrighted, don’t worry!) that I will need to compress to mpeg-1 for a video synched with transcript software. Instead of capturing the video to FCP then using compressor to make it an mpeg-1, can I do all this in either streamclip or VH?

    Please let me know and any tips or advice I should know about.

    Streamclip will help you.

    Don’t know about Visual Hub as I have never used it.
