Ok i’m working with a bunch of still and putting transititonsbetween them(a standard cross dissolve. After rendering the effects I noticed a little problem. When the transition starts the picture shifts postion on the monitor ever so slightly. It’s not a huge shift but it is pretty distracting. What in my render settings could be causing this?

[Peterd] “What in my render settings could be causing this?”

This happens all the time to me before the effect is rendered, but not after. Just a reminder to make sure that what you’re viewing really IS rendered. If you’re seeing the problem after rendering then I’m not sure what it might be. If this has just started happening lately, try running FCP Recue and do the “trashing preferences” thing.

Make sure you render preview and render full

[Chris] “Make sure you render preview and render full”

Meaning, go into your sequence > render all and sequence > render selection menus and make sure that all the options have a chekc mark next to them, especially the ‘full’ option. After doing that, hit option-r to render the whole timeline.
