Vista and Vegas 6
My brother is looking to buy Vegas 6 (new on Ebay) primarily to use the multitrack audio features. He has a Dell laptop with Vista on it and was asking me if people were having problems with running Vegas with Vista. I did a search and found a few posts stating there are some problems but most of what I read was dealing with the video aspect and not the audio. He probably won’t even use the video portion of Vegas other than maybe to edit some home videos, but that’s even doubtful.
My machine has WinXp so I really didn’t know what to tell him. Should he stay away from Vegas with Vista? TIA -

It’s basically a “use at your own risk” type of situation as Vista is NOT supported. However, many people have successfully gotten it to work. What if he waits for a version of Vegas that *IS* Vista compatible? Sony has said that would happen by the end of the year.
