    Vista 64 and After Effects Playhead

    Here is my system:
    Vista x64 Ultimate
    AMD 5000+ BE @ 2.6 Ghz – Dual Core
    4 GB DDR2 800 RAM
    geforce 6800GT 256 MB
    2 SATA Hard drives
    Adobe CS3 Suite

    Problem:
    Whenever i try to playback a simple ram preview the playhead, redline, is jerky and is not in real time. The indicator says it is being played back in realtime, but it is not as i count it myself. It is about a half a second slow. I have all the latest updates to all software and OS. Any reason why this would happen? It didnt happen on this same exact system with XP Pro 32 bit.

    Not sure what’s going on here, but thought I would chip in as I also run CS3 on Vista 64. No similar problems for me, so it might be a non-OS issue you’re having.
