November 5, 2009 at 7:58 pmThanks, John,
i tried installing it, but it says it won’t install on my 64 bit vista system. bummer.
i did manage to install loopbe1 virtual midi.
it shows up in both vegas and acid, but i still don’t seem to be able to get them to sync up. i must have tried every possible combination of settings in both programs.would you please be so kind to explain to me what the settings should be in both vegas and acid?
-or do i really need to get back to xp?

Yea, I never tried it on Vista 64 so I’m not surprised that it doesn’t work. It wasn’t designed for XP either so it was a stretch that it worked there (it’s a Windows NT driver!)

ACID likes to be the master so are you setting up Vegas to be the slave? What versions of ACID and Vegas? With the multi-track audio capabilities of ACID Pro 7.0 I can’t see any reason for needing Vegas so what exactly are you trying to do?

November 5, 2009 at 8:34 pmwell, i am a video editor who likes to make the music as well.
it would be ideal for me to be able to make the music and sketch the video edit without having to render and bounce back and forth.
but now i am starting to think i got this whole midi-sync thing wrong.
my wish is to have acid and vegas in a sort of rewire mode.robert dupper

November 7, 2009 at 12:40 amHi
Did you try https://www.midiox.com ?
I’m not sure it works in 64bit, but I did have it going in 32bit vista. I had nuendo slaving to vegas, I was able to use nuendo to play the audio multitrack in perfect sync with vegas By using this technique. Once your virtual midi driver is working it’s straight forward enough to slave them.
You could always go hardware too if you buy a cheap midi interface with 2 in 2 out, just loop a cable and assign the correct ports and bob’s your uncle.
