I need the ability to let a client in another city see my Avid interface as I work. I am using an Avid Adrenalin on a mac. I do have an .ftp and understand making W.I.P. files for viewing but was looking for something to let the client feel more involved.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Scott

I know that there are some editorial companies out there that have proprietary systems in place for their clients. Specifically Red Car’s “Ava” and Mad River Post’s “Rosedit” come to mind. I know that they are T1-based. I’m sure there are other systems out there that my benefit the solo artist, but I don’t know any off the top of my head.

How about setting up a webcam over your shoulder and using some form of chat? I’ve got a client with a couple G5s in the suite and when I’m editing on one system, he can call up an iChat on the other one with an iSight FW camera hooked up – works quite well.
