I’ve been following the vine tut found on video copilot.. made by andrew kramer… i’ve gooten pretty far.. and i’ve rendered everything frame by frame to png.. and bmp.. i get stuck after that.. i have now idea on how to import that sequence onto after effects.. i’ve tried this way…

To import a still-image sequence as a sequence file
Choose File > Import > File.
Locate and select any file in the sequence. To import a subset of files in a sequence, select the first file, hold down Shift, and then select the last file you want to include.
Choose Footage from the Import As menu.
Select the [file format name] Sequence option.
If you want to import alphabetically, select Force Alphabetical Order.
Click Open (Windows) or Import (Mac OS).
In the [file name] dialog box, choose one of the following from the Choose Layer menu:
Merged Layers Merges all the layers in each individual file to one layer.
Layer Name Imports only a specific layer from each file in the sequence.
    Click OK.
Note: To import a still-image sequence by dragging, drag the folder from the desktop to the After Effects Project panel. After Effects imports the first sequence of files that is listed in the folder, based on the file name.

    however.. i don’t get the

“Select the [file format name] Sequence option.”

    i don’t get that…

    Sid,

It looks like your going to File->Import file where it should be File->Import Multiple Files. Then the “Import as” menu should appear so you can import as footage.

    Hope that helps,
    Ben

    Sid,

Have you tried just dragging the folder containing only the images you need to sequence onto the project panel and dropping it there?

You will still need to put this into a comp after getting it into your project panel.

Other than that if your importing multiple files there is a check box in that file selection window that needs to be selected for sequences.
