I’ve started using Vimeo as an option for viewing my videos. I’ve never had a problem until someone who’s using a Mac told me they cant watch this,
They can, however, watch some of the others I’ve upoaded. I thought Vimeo converted all videos to the same codec no matter what is uploaded. Can someone shed some light on this for me?
I usually make my videos using H.264/.mov .

Vimeo uses H.264 in Flash these days. Going back a while they used to use On2VP6.
If “someone” checked videos uploaded around the same time they’re likely to be the same codec.
There may have been an issue with one of Vimeo’s servers.
If they’re using Safari have them click on the the “Switch to HTML5” link. If the video then plays, they’re having an issue with Flash.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I’m pretty sure they’re using Firefox, though.

They should check with Safari and use the HTML5 even if only to test.
That’ll indicate whether they may have an issue with their Flash browser plugin.
