Vimeo Clips into FCP 7- not working
Hey guys, with vimeo clips, I can download the link and it downloads as an mp4 which I know is not really FCP’s top choice- I get all kinds of issues with the video when I import it into FCP. So I tried to use Mpeg Streamclip to convert it into .mov file but that does not work- Mpeg won’t even let me do it…
So if anyone has used a vimeo clip in FCP 7 please share how to do that process.

Open the clip with QT and export to any editable codec and the audio to PCM 16b/48Khz.
The best codec option is 8b Uncompressed.

The file may be protected. I ran into this once even though I had permission to use it. Client had to supply a new file
