Vimeo 720 upgrade to 1080
Being a little new to all this what are the pro’s and con’s of letting Vimeo upgrade footage from 720 to 1080? Other than the fact I’d have to re-upload the 720 again if I dont like the outcome as its a permanent transition in Vimeo I think, does it actually do a reasonable job or would it be better to let Vegas (Pro 10 for me) do the upscaling?
Are there many people unable to play 1080 Vimeo vids these days? I dont want to restrict my audience size but whilst YouTube is user-selectable for image quality I prefer Vimeo for my own stuff where poss.

Being able to play a 1080 video from a website is strictly dependent on the end-user’s internet connection. From my personal experience with my 15gb cable internet, I have no issues playing 1080 video from either YouTube or Vimeo. However, if I play the video full-screen, at times there may be a slight hangup.
