Vignetting Effect
Posted by Sebastian Fubanocci on April 16, 2009 at 5:32 pmIs there a way to achieve a vignetting effect in Final Cut, or do you have to use another program. If so – which one? Thank you.

April 16, 2009 at 5:42 pmThere is a vignette plugin in one of the effects folders in FCP6. YOu can also pick up plugins for cheap (and free) from various plugin makers. Have a dig around the net if it isnt in your effect folder.

April 16, 2009 at 6:56 pmthere are many ways to do this
One simple way (but only 2 minutes)
Create a shape (Oval) > Superimpose > Apply an Invert > change size, aspect softness to your liking > Composite Mode – Subtractand you have a dark vignette.
But do yourself a favor, spend some time with the manual, make it your friend.
