I know this question has been asked before but maybe things have changed: How can my clients view raw XDCam files on a PC or a Mac? MPEG stream clip does not do it. Ideas anyone? Free would be better.

VLC can view the MP4 but please don’t have them take them out of the BPAV if they’re intended to be used.

Of course you could give them a copy of Sony ClipBrowser which is also free.

Thanks Craig! Works perfectly. It looked like crap until I manually set de-interlace to automatic. Why wouldn’t that just be the default setting?

My clients won’t be editing the files just viewing them. I will always have the original BPAV files…both sets.

    Thanks again.
