This question has no doubt been handled before, but I didn’t find it…

Is there a way to output an HD XDCAM project signal(image) to a client monitor without an HD supported Mojo?

I have an AVID Mojo, but I know this is only analog. I also know about the Matrox MXO2 Minbox (using MC5), but what other (non-breakout box) options do I have for wanting to show my client(s) HD XDCAM edited projects on a client monitor?

I truthfully thought I’d export and show items on my computer screen, but it was suggested that I have a client monitor “handy”…

Thanks in advance for this Forum’s “like-gold” information and assistance.

At this time there are no other options for viewing HD. Avid has hinted that they will be adding other 3rd party solutions into the mix (AJA, Blackmagic, etc.), but there’s no definitive timeline on when these alternatives will be available.

If you switch the project format to SD you should be able to use your Mojo to see the output on an external monitor (SD). Yes, it’s not the same as viewing HD, but it’s something until MC 5 ships.

In the meantime you can consider using Full Screen Mode.
