  • Viewing waveforms on audio timeline

Posted by Nicholas Pacillio on September 26, 2005 at 7:28 pm

I’m trying to edit an all audio project, and I can’t remember how to turn on the waveforms for the audio timeline. I know there is a way to see them, but I can’t figure it out. If anyone can help out, it will save me a lot of guess work from trying to do it all by ear with now visual cues. Thanks in advance!

At the Lower Left of the Timeline Window you will see a speaker icon (Audio Controls).

Three icons to the RIGHT of the speaker is a “4 small columns icon” (Toggle Timeline Track Height).

Right-Click (or Control-Click) on this icon and HOLD to reveal a set of options.

    Choose “Show Audio Waveforms”.
