Activity Forums DVD Authoring Viewing button states

I am editing a project in DVD Studio Pro 2 and cannot unravel the information in the manual and the tutorial to make the buttons appear with their selected and activated states showing. I use the View pulldown menu to select Button State and the Display State so I know what I am looking at (I hope); I’ve set each button in the Button Inspector Style tab with an orange color for the selected state and an opacity of 8. I created the menus by drawing a button and putting text in it (trying to keep simple), then tried putting a shape on it, then tried dragging a shape over to the Menu Editor (none of these methds worked). When I look at the Overlay, it is all white, transparent. I didn’t try bringing in layered buttons from Photoshop because I wanted to keep this simple until I understood this basic method. I’ve tested the menus in the simulator but I still can’t see a selected or activated state. I’m obviously not understanding something about the button making process. I have had them work when I did the tutorial and in my first project, in which I dragged in shapes as the tutorial described. I thought I had it down. Does anyone see where I am going off-base?

    Susan,

If you post your question in the Apple DVD Studio Pro forum it will be seen by more fellow DVDSP users. 🙂

Oh, thanks! I thought that’s where I was and didn’t realize there were two sites! I just re-posted it! Susan
