  • Viewing audio waveform on sequence within sequence

    Hi there,

I need to edit an edit! In other words, I need to use an existing sequence as my source file. This works fine – I can drag a sequence into my source window and edit it as normal. However, when I want to view the audio waveform in the source window, Premiere displays nothing.

Is there a way to get Premiere to display the audio waveform when viewing a sequence in the source monitor?

I’m using PPro CS 3.1 on WinXP.

I’ve tried a number of things. I think my only option is to render out the entire sequence as an uncompressed video and edit that uncompressed video (that isn’t ideal for a number of reasons).

    Many thanks,
    Jack

You need to render the audio of the nest first. Hit Enter in the time line it is nested and the render audio will show it’s progress when that is done and the video is starting to render hit esc – whallah
