  View live video on laptop, fullscreen (USB connection)

  Hi!

  I need to be able to feed a live video signal (composite video) to a laptop and view that signal full-screen.

  The laptop will then (using special hardware) overlay text on the video feed. The laptop is then connected to a projector/beamer.

  I started out buying a cheap “digitize your old VHS” device, which does work with the supplied software.

  But when trying with VLC I do not get full-screen, and the video is out of sync.

  So – what hardware and software do you recommend?

  OS is Windows 7.
