I have a two LCD monitor setup and routinely set VIEW MENU to output video to “Cinescreen Fullscreen”. This has given me a consistent (sampled) larger view of either viewer or canvas depending on which is active.
I started a new DV 25 project and noticed that the 2nd monitor output freezes and skips over frames. I went back to older projects and it is doing the same there.
CLips play normally in the viewer and canvas so it isnt the clips but the output to 2nd monitor. That monitor plays video from the web at full screen without problems. SO it must be some issue of output from FCP, but I have tried the AV settings and they dont make a difference.
I have repaired permissions and trash prefs and also no change.

Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions? Ron

You need a capture device and broadcast monitor to truly monitor out of fcp.
