View Apple Compressor Droplet Settings

August 27, 2010 at 5:10 pmHello,
Just as I think I get to know what I am doing, I discover I do not.
With apple compressor 3.0 I could double click a droplet, and see the settings
for it (codec, audio, etc).I have recently upgraded to Compressor 3.5, and it seems I can no longer get at
the settings for a droplet without opening Compressor.Or – is there a way to view a droplet’s settings that has been created in Compressor 3.5.
Also, (another post) – any droplet created in version 3.0 does not work with FCP 3, Snow Leopard, etc.
I must recreate the droplet using version 3.5.Any ideas or suggestions here?
Thanks,
eholz1

September 1, 2010 at 3:17 pmI know that droplets created under 3.0 don’t work in 3.5. I’ve had to recreate presets in 3.5. One thing that 3.5 added though is a neat little feature that might come in handy for you. If you have a file that’s been encoded, you can drag it to the preset window and it will create a new preset based on how this file was encoded (for the most part). You may have to tweak it slightly, but it’s pretty good. I don’t know if you can drag an old droplet in there, but that might be worth a shot.

September 2, 2010 at 8:40 pmHello Mark,
I finally accepted the fact as you have stated above. I redid a couple of droplets, and as you
mentioned, that has things working fine. Thanks for the help,
